Scope Definition and Management
|
|
- Deliberate management starts with planning
Defining the overall scope or range of functionality is critical to a timely launch of your project. A common phenomenon with technical projects is something called "scope creep". Scope creep can ruin the effectiveness of a project team. Scope ìcreepsî when the functionality or overall breadth of your project creeps outward as you progress. Adding functionality to a developed component can cause delays for redevelopment and effect related or dependent components.
- Managing this phenomenon begins with creative discussions when defining the scope of your endeavor. Project Medium will force the consideration of issues or instances that most likely would not have been accounted for otherwise. This is an intentional and deliberate act in order to focus 3 to 5 years down the road for you. By doing this we can account for possibilities that may come up during development, or even shortly thereafter.
- Your project will be documented, discussed and creatively challenged with you. This allows considerations to be accounted for upfront.
